@The Coolest , sorry I have a mistake, I check again, I did installed service.fd628 before, and I already remove it.
Now only OpenVFD service installed , still black display.
here we are
dmesg - http://ix.io/1jxx
systemctl status openvfd - http://ix.io/1jxy
cat /storage/.config/vfd.conf - http://ix.io/1jxz
-
@The Coolest , I'm sure, I put your vfd.conf to /storage/.config/ folder and install service OpenVFD (ver 1.0.2)from Coreleec Repository. Maybe OpenVFD service doesn't read config in /storage/.config/vfd.conf, and read from somewhere else

I did reinstall service OpenVFD from Coreleec Repository, replace old /storage/.config/vfd.conf with a new one from you , and reboot, still black display. Did I missed something
dmesg - http://ix.io/1jwh
systemctl status openvfd - http://ix.io/1jwi
-
@The Coolest , thanks for your support. I try replace your file, but vfd display still black. here is dmesg - http://ix.io/1jvW
systemctl status openvfd - http://ix.io/1jvx
-
I re-install Coreelec 8.95 (with dtb: gxl_p212_2g.dtb) and OpenVFD services, but sill black display
Here is my Android _DTB
dmesg - http://ix.io/1jmg
systemctl status openvfd - http://ix.io/1jmj
Please, have a look. Thanks

Running LE 8.2.4.2 and installed openvfd-1.0.1, DTB in Libreelec is: gxl_p212_2g.dtb
but VFD display isn't working. I think, my vfd chip is CS1628EO doesn't support.
Please add support. Thanks

You can try: add 2 lines to config.txt, it works for my rpi2:
dtparam=pwr_led_trigger=none
dtparam=pwr_led_activelow=offSave and reboot

- some remote key not work as function, (i have backup remote.conf from Android), how can i fix it using remote.conf
- reboot, suspend not work (turn off wifi does not help), i have to replug power to restartEDIT:
I attach my log -
1. Dont use arial.ttf font, use Arial Unicode MS (arialuni.ttf) in Windows
2.Dont need decompressed image, waste of time.
Just simply create new folder name "Fonts" in "storage/.kodi/media/" directory and copy "Arialuni.ttf" font (not Arial.ttf) into it, restart kodi and check subtitle opntion in Video tab.Hope someone fix this issue in next release.

Subtitle text not displaying correctly
English sub with no matter, but in Vietnamese subtibles, some Vietnamese sentences 're good, the others 're missed, some text disappear, (2 different sub, one with dual language, one with only Vietnamese)like picture below
cTfQplh.jpg?1
It happen in all platforms: RPI, IMX, X86.
For KODI 16.1 in Windows, OSX, Subtitle displaying works ok with same srt file.
Please fix, thanksEdit: I found that it is Font issue, because when I copy Arial unicode MS Font from Windows to /storage/.kodi/media/Fonts/ , change subtitle font to Arrial unicode MS, subtitle showing good. Hope this help.
