Bluetooth doesn't work with Bose QuietComfort 35 headphones

  • Hi,

I installed the latest LibreELEC using NOOBS on Raspberry Pi 3.

I turned on the Bluetooth and paired my Bose QuietComfort 35 headphones, and it paired successfully, and then connected.

Unfortunately, several moments after it connects, it get disconnected and you cannot hear any sound. It happens every time, and I cannot use my headphones at all :(

Any advice how to solve this issue?

    Thanks.

  • Thats the one I use. Bought it in germany.

    Hama Bluetooth-Adapter 4.0 (Nano-Bluetooth-Dongle, inkl. EDR, abwärtskompatibel, USB-Adapter) schwarz ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_FLjKzb00R84QZ

The same is available on amazon.com if you are in the US.

    ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_uPjKzbQW639DV

    Is detected without any problems.

I am using it rpi 3 no problems, but you habe to disable the inbuilt Bluetooth first.

You can disable it in the config.txt in the Boot partition.

    AdD the line

    Dt-overlay=pi3-disable-bt

  • Hi,

Thanks for the help. I went and bought this:

    csr8510

It works completely fine, but for anyone reading this, please be aware of the following:

    1. It will work only in LibreELEC, and it won't work inside Raspbian.
    2. When you pair your headphones, you must make sure you pair them to the bluetooth adapter and not the builtin bluetooth inside Raspberry.
    3. Inside Kodi, after you pair your headphones you must change the audio settings as follows:
Inside "System settings", choose "Audio", and in "Audio output device" you must choose "PULSE".

    After that, it works perfectly.
