hotkey daemon

Does LibreELEC contain a way to run console commands upon key presses?

I'm currently using raspbian, which has the neat triggerhappy ( GitHub - wertarbyte/triggerhappy: A lightweight hotkey daemon ).

I'm planning to use LibreELEC as a mediacenter, which will run headless most of the time with mpd, it will be used for movie-watching only occasionally. So I need a way to control mpd without the gui.

Never mind, I just found that there's the possibility to configure a keymap with System.Exec

I'll try that and report back if it does what I want.
