Ok for starters. I purchased a RPi3, they sent me a remote that I cannot seem to get working.
This is the remote: New Philips RC6 IR Media Center MCE Remote Control for RC2604302/01B win7 vista
Though I did not buy it off ebay it came with my package. If my TV does not support HDMI-CEC do I have to buy an external IR receiver for the remote to work or is there another way? Also I downloaded an app on my phone to control Kodi, everything seems to work ok but when I go to search to type something in my TV starts flashing in and out like its losing the HDMI and then coming back on. I noticed "Video 2" keeps flashing on and off in the corner is why I figure that's what is going on. If anyone could help me with these issues would be great!
