Auto turn-on wifi on notebook

  • Hi!
I've installed Libreelec on a old notebook, and I want to know if its possible to turn on the wifi on boot/after boot.
My notebook don't have this option on BIOS, so I'm always need to press 'Fn + wifi' to turn on the wifi.

    Thanks.

  • If you go on the LibreELEC settings in the Network tab and set the Wireless Networks to Active, does it stay active after reboot?
Next in the Connections tab click the Network name you are connected to, then "Edit" and you can try to set it to "Connect Automatically".
You can also try the "Wait for networks before starting Kodi" last option in the Network tab.

  • Well....after a few reboots, it's working.
If I reboot by kodi menu, the light indicator of notebook don't goes off.
If I turn off the notebook and power on, the light goes out, but after kodi starts the internet is OK and connected.
I think even with a wifi indicator light off, it is connected internally.

  • Yes sometimes with laptop even if the wifi light is off the wifi adapter is still working, mostly because those are Windows features but as long as it is actually connected it does not matter.
