Rephrase question, how does libreelec installer decide on what resolution to set for initial boot after install, is it by EDID if so is there a way to set a lower safer resolution first then change it later, as not all systems will react the same, see paragraph below starting "1st boot..."
HI Guys n Gals,
Trying to install latest LibreELEC 7.90 (alpha) x86_64build onto my htpc from scratch, just a basic pc, gigabyte g41m with q6600, and a new gt710 to replace a failed GT610.
What I am hitting upon is this install from pen drive OK.
1st boot to 60gb hdd, gets to splash screen the a second or so later goes black the nothing else, just sits, only clue I have it my TV then briefly flashes "no signal" followed by this, "3840x2160p@16hz", but screen stays black.
So what up, is the default setting after initial install for xorg too high, if so how do i set them lower ? Or isit something else.
Also while typing this the machine is merily running linux mint 15, also runs hiren's latest, I don't think its a hardware fault
All suggestions appreciated.
Andy
