It is still in active development, but the core features are ready for a first look.
What it does
This project brings seamless, automated intro and credit skipping to Kodi without relying on an external media server or website API.
It is a standalone hard fork of the original intro-skipper project for Jellyfin, optimized to run directly on your local Kodi box completely without Jellyfin.
Key Features
- Smart Detection: Uses audio fingerprinting (Chromaprint) and black-frame analysis to find intro and credit sequences.
- OSD Integration: Displays a non-blocking on-screen overlay with a dynamic circular countdown timer during intros/credits.
- Native Sources Integration: You can select and trigger scans directly from your existing Kodi sources.xml paths right inside the add-on UI.
- Web Interface: A built-in web interface for easy configuration and monitoring (http://ip-of-your-box:8037)
Current Status
The project is a work in progress. The core engine works, but since it is in early development, expect bugs, edge cases, or changes to setup procedures.

Todo:
- authentification for webinterface
- better error handling at deamon starting
- depending at feedback add options to the kodi addon
- automatic searching for new files
Out of scope but would be possible:
- create a docker/deployment and make it a server deamon to allow a single instance be used by multiple devices
