  • I have considered adding it to the official kodi repo. I am not sure if it would be approved because one of the rules is that you cannot bundle offered libraries with your addon. This addon bundles a couple of unrar binaries(x86_64/aarch64), which were necessary to implement my rolling page cache. Kodi offers "RAR support addon" but the way it works is with an "all-or-nothing" approach. This results in the entire CBR file being unrared in to a temp directory before reading, which causes two issues: First, CBRs take anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes to open, and Second, the larger CBRs will run out of temp space resulting in failure. Both of these are unacceptable to me, and I implemented a "rolling cache" that reads just a handful of pages at a time, with lightning fast load times, no limit on CBR sizes, and minimal temp space usage. This addon needs direct access to those unrar binaries to do this. So this addon may violate the official kodi repo rules.
