[RPi4] Memory usage with TVHeadEnd server

  • Hi,
I was using LibreELEC 12.2.1 installed on a 4GB Raspberry Pi 4. I decided to switch my Tvheadend instance, which was running in a Docker container on a NAS over to the "Tvheadend Server 4.3" add-on. That’s when I realized that version 12.2.1 was consuming so much RAM that it would occasionally crash, unlike version 11.0.6, which uses hardly any resources. I’m wondering if this is normal behavior or if the issue is on my end bearing in mind that there is a fairly large media library involved.

  • Actually, I'm using "AEON NOX Silvo," and I think downloading the artist images, album art, posters, and so on is what maxed out the RAM; once it finished, it stabilized at 1.75 GB.

  • I know; I’ve been using it for years. But with IPTV + DVB-S + XMLTV, it’s starting to take up quite a bit of space. The problem doesn't lie with Tvheadend itself, I suspect it’s the downloading of artist fanart!
I’m using the Aeon Nox Slivo skin.
    What do you think?
