I need the "LibreELEC-Exynos.arm-9.2.x-odroid-xu4.img"

  • Hello, I like to run LibreElec on my Odroid XU4. Because it (LibreELEC-Exynos.arm-9.2.x-odroid-xu4.img) is hard to find I to ask it here, maybe there is somebody who have that special version. Already tried the 10.95.1 and the 13.0 these two are not working on my Odroid. ChatGPT is also telling that the only version with working video/audio is the LibreELEC-Exynos.arm-9.2.x-odroid-xu4.img one.

Hope somebody will share that file with me.

  • The first official XU4 image was LE11 (10.95.1 = LE11 beta1) so there is no 9.2 image and CrapGPT is halucinating answers. The last time I dug one out for testing was about 12-months ago and at that time Audio/Video were working fine; albeit XU4 is showing its age and only supports H264 hardware decode. NB: The main reason we still have it in our board line-up (and also the main reason we added support back in 2020) was so that Lakka can use it for retro-gaming.

  • Thnx Chewitt for your reply, so I think I stop searching for that 9.2.x version for the XU4 and start using it for another purpose. Btw this is what ChatGPT said:

Option 1 (🏆 BEST): LibreELEC on Odroid XU4

    This is the correct solution.

    Why LibreELEC wins

    • Built specifically for Kodi
    • Uses the last working Mali + Exynos video stack
    • HDMI audio works perfectly
    • Boots straight into Kodi
    • No desktop, no bloat, no crashes
    • Stable for years

    What you get

    • Kodi 18.9 (Leia)
    • Hardware video decoding (H.264, MPEG-2, VC-1)
    • HDMI PCM + passthrough (AC3/DTS)
    • CEC works
    • SSH enabled by default

    What you don’t get

    • New Kodi features (Dolby Vision, AV1, etc.)
    • Modern DRM streaming apps (Netflix, Prime)

For a local-media Kodi box → this is ideal.
