I want to preface this by saying I don't think this is a libreELEC issue but I'm looking for guidance on how to troubleshoot it further.
Backstory:
CEC has always worked on my Samsung UN65KS8000FXZA with no issues
I moved my RPi5 to a different TV - Sony KDL65W850C and CEC also worked fine there
When I moved my Pi back to the Samsung TV, CEC refuses to work and none of the changes I have tried made any difference
I am doubtful the TV automatically updated to a new firmware due to the TV's age - it is certainly possible but I have no way to confirm.
- It is running version 1260 and there are no updates available per the TV update function
I CAN confirm that I did not manually apply any updates to the TV
LibreELEC was also not upgraded/changed during this period
What I've tried so far:
Used the latest 12.2 image from LibreELEC
Ensured latest EEPROM is updated
Factory reset the Samsung TV
Ensured AnyNET (CEC in Samsung terminology) was enabled
Confirmed the latest image works with CEC on the same Sony TV referenced above
Swapped HDMI cables/adapter
Modified the config.txt to include hdmi_force_hotplug=1 (NOTE: The below logs are bone-stock without this change)
Given that it always works on the Sony TV but never on the Samsung points me towards Samsung being the issue and NOT LibreELEC but I'm looking to dig deeper to try and solve this one.
Here are my logs: https://paste.libreelec.tv/relieved-beetle.log
Per my comment above, these logs are from a fresh image install using the libreELEC USB SD card creator with the 12.2 image and the only config change I made was to allow SSH.
Any additional troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated
