Hello all,
Like the title says, I just ordered a NUC5CPYH with the required parts to put together. I plan on running Libre with Kodi. This will be an HTPC for my dedicated Dolby Atmos theater room. I will install the OS on an 16 GB SD card as bootable drive and media will reside in a 2 TB HDD.
I'm sure I will have tons of questions but the one that I'm stuck with is, which is the best or most efficient way to watch purchased or ripped HD movies? I didn't order an external Blu-. ray player pending more information. I ended ordering a Pioneer External Blu-Ray player and software.
I am actually not sure how to approach this. I was thinking I could purchase downloadable HD movies or rip movies already in my physical library (need Blu-ray and software).
I researched more and I think I have it figured out. I will rip my movies using MakeMkV and use Handbrake to convert to required format.
I want to do theater intros, previews and feature presentation. I just don't know how everything falls into place.
As far as my understanding, I would have to set a file path for the movie file in the Cinema Vision theater sequence, but I have to idea of how to create the movie file.
I watched a CinemaVision tutorial and I think I know how it works now.
Thanks for the help.
