Trouble with SSH and SMB, can't find device on network

    I have LE on a Rpi4 and have had issues with connection for a while now. In the beginning I was able to transfer files over my network to the library, but periodically the device would disappear and reappear from time to time. It has now been several months since it was visible, and now all the network pathways I have bookmarked (which would usually still work even when it was not visible) can't find the shared folders.

    I'm also trying to access the device with SSH, but I keep getting time out messages when I try to connect. I don't know if this is unrelated to the above issue or a firewall setting I haven't messed with yet. I'm making this all up as I go along and really don't know what I'm doing yet haha. Any suggestions would be appreciated. If there's information I can add to help please let me know.

    LE will use DHCP by default so the IP address the RPi4 receives from the router will change over time. The easiest way to solve that is creating a static address reservation in the router. You're still using DHCP but the IP that's dynamically received will remain the same so any links you make will remain the same.
