[RPi5] Reboot when accessing photos from USB

  • Hi,

I'm trying to browse photos on a Samsung 512gb micro SD card using a usb adapter. I've tried several adapters sandisk usb 2 and usb 3.0 but same issue. I've also tried exfat and fat32 formats but same thing.

I initially thought it was a power supply issue but just tried it with the official Raspberry Pi 5 27 Watt power supply and same thing.

I'm using the latest test channel release.

  • Please provide a full debug log.

How to post a log (wiki)

    1. Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging
    2. Restart Kodi
    3. Replicate the problem
    4. Generate a log URL (do not post/upload logs to the forum)

use "Settings > LibreELEC > System > Paste system logs" or run "pastekodi" over SSH, then post the URL link

There is a chance that pastekodi command doesn't work (third party server problem). In that case copy & paste the log (/storage/.kodi/kodi.log) into the attachment of your next post. Devs are working on our own log server to fix it.

  • I thought connecting via ethernet cable had fixed things but it will eventually reboot after some time too. I will endeavour to provide some logs but I would like to know if anyone else is getting this issue? It's a bit random.

  • I could not find any logs in the /storage/.kodi directory. There is a zip file with the following files in:-

    "X:\log-2023-12-10-09.35.48\09_Journal-cur.log"
    "X:\log-2023-12-10-09.35.48\01_KODI.log"
    "X:\log-2023-12-10-09.35.48\01_KODI_CRASH.log"
    "X:\log-2023-12-10-09.35.48\02_System.log"
    "X:\log-2023-12-10-09.35.48\03_Hardware.log"
    "X:\log-2023-12-10-09.35.48\04_Audio.log"
    "X:\log-2023-12-10-09.35.48\05_Network.log"
    "X:\log-2023-12-10-09.35.48\06_varlog.log"
    "X:\log-2023-12-10-09.35.48\07_input.log"
    "X:\log-2023-12-10-09.35.48\08_Filesystem.log"

    Which ones are required?

Reboot happens on a a fresh install of libreelec as well for me.

    Thanks

  • kodi.old.log from /storage/.kodi/temp
