configuration problems

  • Good morning everyone,

I installed libreelec on my raspberry pi 4, I encounter 2 problems:

the clock is not set with the correct time, I can't set it...

I have a 5.1 Dolby audio system, I have hifi berry digi, so the speakers are connected with a coaxial cable, from the settings I selected 5.1 system and hifi berry but the audio is not the best... it seems like a common audio from PC speakers I don't know if I get the idea

  • RPi4 doesn't have a clock, so LE needs network connectivity and a working network stack to reach an NTP server to set it during the boot. If you do have an RTC, then you would likely have to enable it with an overlay, check with who sold the device. It will likely need NTP to initially set the clock.

I don't know anything about HifiBerry, but pointing out the obvious that it also depends on your media source. If your media source is not 5.1, is poor quality, then garbage in/garbage out. I'll leave it to DAC users to comment, I just use audio over HDMI.

  • You don't need the amixer command, this only applies to the analog-out Hifiberry cards. The Digi/SPDIF cards don't have any hardware volume mixer controls.

Simply activate passthrough in Kodi and you are fine.

    so long,

    Hias
