How to install without USB drive

    Hi!


    I'm using LibreELEC on a small atom pc and I'm super happy! Congratulations!


    But I'm required to move this to a QNAP NAS.

    Unfortunately QNAP virtualization station doesn't support USB sticks, only ISO.

    What are the steps for e.g. installing bare OS on a first step and then copy some files via SSH?

    Two comments:

    a) If you can't boot from a USB stick, you might need to pull the drive and connect it to another PC and run the install from USB there; or write the installer image directly to the HDD and then (in the old PC again) interrupt boot and type "run" (direct from install media, which is now the HDD) instead of following the normal "install to target" flow.

    b) LE is small and lightweight which is appealing for older hardware, but we target current and recent HTPC hardware so are often…

    LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-11.0.1.img contains storage.img and system.img

    Which one ist the installer image? How can I transfer the OS to a QNAP Virtual Station disk?
