CEC on Intel Nuc Celeron 4505

  • Hi,

I installed LibreElec 10.95 (Kodi 20) on my Intel Nuc. Nice little box, Kodi runs very good.

On the old x96 Box with Coreelec CEC was working.

But CEC is not working on the Intel Nuc.

I can not find Input Devices > HDMI-CEC settings or Settings > system > input > peripherals > CEC Adapter menu.

    Or is this not configurable?

Can I do a manual configuration within the linux?

    LibreELEC:~ # dmesg | grep -i cec

    LibreELEC:~ #

    LibreELEC:~ # modprobe -v seco-cec

modprobe: FATAL: Module seco-cec not found in directory /lib/modules/6.1.7

    LibreELEC:~ #

    LibreELEC:~ # lsmod | grep -i cec

    LibreELEC:~ #

    LibreELEC:~ # cec-client

No device type given. Using 'recording device'

CEC Parser created - libCEC version 4.0.7

no serial port given. trying autodetect: FAILED

What can I do to get CEC working?

    Thanks in advance :)

  • What can I do to get CEC working?

Most x86_64 devices don't support CEC on their HDMI connections, and those that do typically only support Power ON/OFF. IIRC some NUCs support the Pulse8 adapter being added via an internal board header to extend featues. It's quite different to the ARM world where most box and board devices have native CEC capabilities.

  • Very sad, but Thank You.

It was very comfortable with the old x96 box. When you opened Yatse on your phone, the box woke up and the TV and Receiver switched automatically.

    Maybe I switch to a Raspi 4.
