no boot on Rock 4 c plus

Radxa ROCK Pi 4 LibreELEC-RK3399.arm-10.0.4-rock-pi-4.img.gz

In the Rock Pi 4 A/B+ (the plus is important) there is a change on the boad that requires different u-boot. I'm not sure if the C follows the same change. There will be a new image for Rock Pi A/B+ added to the next beta so perhaps try that when it ships (soon).

Any update on this board? Was thinking of snatching one up for 50% off, but it seems this is the black sheep of the Rock Pi family?

Bump, because I also think about buying "RADXA Starter Kit Rock ROCK 4C+ Board (Cortex )"

I'd start with trawling the Radxa forums and refererring to upstream kernel submissions. RK3399 is pretty mature at this point so as long as the device-tree files are in the kernel (or submitted so can patches can be picked to a self-built image) .. things probably work. That's a rather vague answer but Radxa have been breeding/iterating boards a lot in recent times and it reached the point where tracking all the variants and sub-variants results in

This build boots fine for me:

However, neither the latest stable 11.0.3 of the "rock-pi-4.img" or the "rock-pi-4-plus" series work for me.

Also, the night builds 12.xx didn't work for me either:

TLDR: give the 10.0.4 build a try:

Also, for those who thought LibreELEC-RK3399.arm-10.0.4-rock-pi-4.img.gz did not boot, please try connecting the cable on the "4k HDMI" port, instead of the "2k HDMI" port. The 4K HDMI port is closer to the USB port.

I tried some 1080p and 4k videos and was glad to find hardware acceleration worked fine.

Did not try 4k HEVC 10-bit or Dolby Digital though.
