Ver 10.0.2 How do I get 4K (any frame rate) on Pi 4

    Hi, I have just bought a 4K AV Amp, connected my PI (using the HDMI port next to the Power in) and I only get a max resolution of 1920 x 1080 option in the settings menu.

    Also if I try and play a 4K file back it stays at 1080 (have set Adjust playback on Stop Start)

    Plugged a 4K Fire stick into the amp and 4K appears on TV, so AV amp & TV are compatible.

    Am I missing something?

    Did you maybe run "getedit create" at some point in time?

    If yes, then RPi will still be using the old edid of your HD TV.

    In this case simply run "getedid delete" and reboot.

    Wow genius, yes I had 2 years ago, totally forgotten because I saw an old edid file in the root and the command to use that file in the config. Which I had removed.
