Yes samba 4.16.2 is in the latest nightly. “List of shares” is still an issue. \\server\share working well.

I thought I'd give it a go whilst waiting for a reply.

On the positive side KodiVCR does now show in the list of machines and I can access the connected HDD using \\KodiVCR\600GB

Part of my problem is I'd been assuming that the source was the share - not the disk label so I'd been using \\KodiVCR\test - feel free to call me a moron

Off to test with my sync program and try to figure out what's going on with the TV remote. Now the fast forward, rewind, pause & stop buttons work buy the arrow buttons don't.

Thanks for getting samba to where it is and I look forward to \\KodiVCR
