I've got an old Asus X205T laptop that I thought I'd plug into my TV to run Kodi, but it's got a Broadcom 802.11a/b/g/n wifi card that's been an absolute nightmare to support (the computer came with Windows 8.1 and every time I upgraded Windows 10 it broke the wifi drivers again, until finally it stopped working). It doesn't have a LAN port. Is there any chance of getting LibreELEC to support my wifi card, or should I try something else? (In terms of software, not hardware; I'm aware this would be easier with new hardware, but this is a recycling project.)

Linux support is all about what chipset is used in the card, and whether that chipset has (PCI) drivers available. You need to start by telling us what the chipset is .. else we can only guess and then the answer is "maybe it works, maybe it doesn't" .. the other option is to boot LE from a USB stick and see for yourself.
