HDMI1: No sound on LibreELEC, but there is a sound on RaspberryOS

  • Hi There,

I have a Raspberry Pi 4B 4GB. I'm using PINN boot manager to boot for RaspberryOS and LibreELEC.

    I'm using HDMI1 port.

There is no sound when I'm starting LibreELEC, but if I'm booting RaspberryOS, it has sound (e.g. Youtube) on my TV.

I was trying to use HDMI0, but there is no sound even no picture at all, so I have to use HDMI1 port.

I was trying to do everything what I found, like hdmi_drive=2, and also hdmi_preferred=2, etc.

I did not found any settings, which can make sound for me.

I guess, there is a but in LibreELEC, since RaspberryOS has sound, only LibreELEC has no sound.

Unless somebody has a good idea.

    Would be great.

    Anybody?

Either your RPi4 has a hardware problem, or you are doing something wrong.

The RPi-4 image of LibreELEC runs both video and audio just fine on the HDMI-0 port.

Or PINNS is getting in the way.

  • Correct. My micro HDMI connector damaged on RPI4. I could fix it, but the cable went wrong. I had to buy a new one.

This micro HDMI is a very bad construction. You can ruin it very easily. I'm not happy with this solution to RPI4.
