Hello,
I'm looking for some advise please. Here is the story, I'm using latest LibreELEC release for Windows.
Main goal is to play mkv files with fat audio. My HTPC is connected through HDMI to Denon receiver and then to UHD OLED TV.
The reference is blue-ray disc (1080p, 23,976, Dolby True HD), when I play it with the same setup on blu-ray player I receive 1080p24-Dolby TrueHD output on
the TV. (goal)
While playing native mkv rip of that disc from HTCP I receive 1080p60 output which results in...I would call it distracting or uncomfortable experiance.
So here we come to the point. I want audio passthrough to be working and I also want refresh rate to match source (so in this case 1080p24)
If display refresh rate option in LibreELEC is disabled I got audio passthrough but video is 1080p60 so we have an issue.
When I enable refresh rate and set white list to the below:
1920x1080p 23,98
1920x1080p 24
1920x1080p 25
1920x1080p 29,97
I got the the video output as 1080p24 but no audio at all or only Dolby Digital which is also not what I want. (issue)
When I set white list to the following
3840x2160p 23,98
3840x2160p 24
3840x2160p 25
3840x2160p 29,97
I got 1080p60 (looks like default if source refresh rate doesn't match white list) and audio passthrough is working. (issue)
So the question is, am I doing something wrong or audio passthrough is simply not possible when refresh rate and white list are active?
Is there any way to make it work?
