Unknown Protocol with xiao mi tv box

Hello

I feel like it's an exotic remote control.

I tested this remote control with "ir-ctl --receive" and it works well.

I tried with "ir-keytable -p all -t" but it can't find anything. I think thisremote control is not using a known protocol.

I would like to know how to add a protocol to manage this remote control?

Which Xaomi device was it shipped with?

not xaomi but xiao, it's a chinese box iptv.

i buy only the remote because the price is very low 1.98€ with shipping cost

i could be wrong but was under the impression that is the same as the xaomi unit and had some weird app that you could fish the bindings out to get working but under android the app controlled it... I looked at a couple of them for a local dealer last year as they came with some millet tv box he got off bangbad but wanted to work on a bunch of oem boxes he bought from ENY. It seemed to be some kinda propriatary link that i never bothered wasting that much time on...

try googling Openhab Xiaomi Mi IO Binding as i seemed to recall someone mentioning something about being able to pull the bindings from the Android app that it ran thru.

i maybe wrong but it sure looks like one of the the xamomi remotes tho...

Hi,

Did you ever solve this? I've tried using irrecord, but I'm getting a 'cannot decode data' error on my RPi4B.

Edit: to further clarify; I've got two remotes and the one I'm using worked out of the box with the standard NEC protocol, mode2 also picks up the new 'Xiaomi' remote, but irrecord does not work.
