I am fairly new with the Raspberry Pi having learned everything with the help of Google and YouTube. I am currently using my pi 3B+ with libreELEC to stream Tv and movies.
I purchased a Wi-Fi dongle off Amazon in hopes of possibility increasing the Wi-Fi signal to the pi. (That and I was really bored) the dongle is a Wireless-N 150 Mbps 2.4 GHz USB 2.0 adapter. IEEE 802.211b/g/n. Amazons description said it was compatible with the 3B+ and was plug n play.
I plugged it in and started libreELEC. The led light illuminates and I noticed under connections that each SSID is now listed 2x. One with "wlan0" and a second with "wlan1" I when I try connecting to the wlan1 the status says connected and shows IP address but doesn't really provide access to anything. So I connect to my original wlan0.
My question(s) are 1- is it even possible to increase signal on original Wi-Fi chip/connection using the wi-fi dongle signal and 2 how do I go about configuring it while not being able to SSH into kodi?
Sorry if this seems like a noob question I have looked everywhere on Google and YouTube and cannot find any type of write-up or guide to this
Thanks
