intel graphics + Onkyo AVR + Sharp TV screen blanks issues

    Hello,

    I'm using a Zotac Zbox with intel i5-3320M and integrated HD graphics 4000.
    with Libreelec I get continuous screen blanks. It appears like the GPU loses sync with the TV and resyncs, which causes a blank screen for a couple of seconds and popping noises from the AVR. This happens when the resolution is set at FullHD at 50 and 60 Hz, but I never noticed it happening during playback with refresh set at 24Hz.

    Connecting the computer directly to the TV solves the problem.
    Using the latest beta of OE, and even ubuntu 16, has the behaviour, while in windows 10 there's no problem.

    Since Ubuntu has the same issue, I'm suspecting a problem with the newest intel drivers.

    How can I downgrade them to the version included in OE 6? Is that even possible?

    You can't downgrade the drivers but you can try upgrading to a current Milhouse build as these are running a 4.8 kernel which resolves some Intel GPU issues; although no guarantee this is one of them.
