tvheadend VAAPI transcoding

Hi guys,

I'm running LE 9.01 on a Core i3-2120, and trying to get transcoding working on tvheadend streams. Ideally, I'd like to get H.264 VAAPI encoding going, but I get the following errors:

2019-04-26 19:08:52.828 libav: Specified pixel format yuv420p is invalid or not supported

Code

2019-04-26 19:08:52.828 transcode: 0002: Unable to open h264_vaapi encoder

The only video codec I can get working in transcoding is mpeg2video codec.

Any ideas to get the VAAPI codecs working?

you need some recent build for Tvh 4.3 from Tvheadend nightly builds for LibreELEC

not too sure if it still works but I guess you will find out

Any plans to support tvh 4.3 any time soon on the 10er generic release ?

I am running a cheap quicksync enabled platform and would be awesome to use it for transcoding

model name : Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU J3355 @ 2.00GHz

we have Tvheadend 4.3 in our repository - should work like expected

Is the recent TVH 4.3 build 1979 (from today, thanks to heitbaum as mentioned here: RE: tvheadend 4.3 doesn't start on todays nightly (Generic, 20210912-85b190b) ) going to appear in RPi 4B repository as well or it's just for x86 based HW please?
