LibreELEC 9.0.1 network speed very slow (<10 MBit/s)

I have recently updated from 8.x to 9.0.1

It appears that since then, I can only get 10MBit/s for my ethernet network speed (measured with iperf3).

Before the update, there were no speed issues.

The machine LibreELEC runs on is an Intel Core2Duo E8400, connected via a 100MBit/s ethernet card.

I have checked ethtool eth0, reporting 100MBit/s Full Duplex link speed.

Do you guys have any suggestions where to look next for the culprit?

it seems I have identified the cause:
In my Router, I have limited the bandwidth of all ethernet Ports to 100Mbit/s. After switching this back to 1000MBit/s, the network speed of my LibreELEC machine was stellar again.

As I have also tried going back to 8.2.5 without solving the issue, my current assumption is it has to do with either the NIC or the NIC driver - so in both cases not LibreELEC as a distribution.

Hence, I am marking this topic as solved.
