File sharing W10 and LibreELEC over network

    I recently made the upgrade on my Pi2 to Libreelec and noticed something odd. Occasionally I can access my Pi and it's folders via Windows Explorer and transfer files to my USB drive attached to the Pi. This doesn't happen that often as most of the time the Pi is not visible on my network.

    Has anyone else had a similar experience?

    Would love to just drag and drop files to the USB hard drive from my W10 pc

    How is your RPi connected to your network, cable or wifi? Is either of them in a good working order to begin with?

    Win10 had a couple of changes during the last year concerning Samba, but it either works or it doesn't.

    RPi is wired.

    I'm just learning about Samba and have not set anything up on my PC as of yet. Just the Windows Explorer as it is.

    I'm a noob with this networking stuff.
