HDR2SDR status

  • Hello,

Im currently running odroid c2 and very happy with that, however sometimes I need to run HDR material on non HDR TV and i have learned that odroid (s905) does not support HDR2SDR conversion (pucture is dark and washed colors).

I researched the rockchip development and learned that RK3328boards like rock64 support this conversion but is this conversion yet supported in the libreele is tje question.

Also is the cec working corrently?

Is there some limitations in RK3328 worth to notice compared to s905?

I understand that that RK3328 is still in development but if it is usable in the dayly use and develops i can live with it.

When i started to use odroid it was also in very early state but usable about 3 years ago.

    Best, jugi

Not really, S905 and RK3328 are currently WIP because the drivers shifting to Mainline (latest Linux Kernel) and to OpenSource drivers instead of the 2nd class vendor drivers.

RK3328 is a bit faster and has a "better" (do not expect miracles) picture quality. Overall it is working quite nice but still has problems (not that S905 could be considered stable).
