HD Audio drop outs when using AMD RX580 card

  • I just recently picked up a RX580 card for my system. I use the system as a Dual Boot with LibreELEC and Windows 10.

Video is great but audio is poor. HD Audio drops out constantly and normal audio pops and echos.

I think the problem is within the actual AMD Driver, not 100% though...

Is it possible to use the on board Intel iGPU for audio and the AMD for picture. Every time I engage mutli monitor in the BIOS for the iGPU KODI hangs with an 'X11 Error: No Display found' error.

    any help is appreciated.

    Thanks..

  • I think you are misunderstanding what I was asking. My fault.. I'll go into more detail on what and why I am trying to do.

Display: LG 65UJ6300 - 4K UHD HDR TV

    Processor: i5-7600K

    Motherboard: Asus Prime Z270-A Motherboard

Video Card: XFX RX 580 GTS Black Edition 8G

Receiver - Integra 30.5(the weak link)

Libreelec verion: Milhouse #0109 - in a dual boot configuration(I know not supported - but I do not believe it is the cause)

Majority of the system is HDMI 2.0, the receiver is not, it is HDMI 1.4a(not current 4K recognized), though it and HD Audio receiver.

What I would like to do is have the TV connected to the RX 580 for video and the receiver connected to the On Board GPU.

If this is possible, I would like to accomplish it.
