Been using Kodi version17.6 with libreelec on pi3 with IQ Audio DACPro HAT
I stream mainly audio files from SMB share on win 10 pc over wired Ethernet.
Discovered that I get audio dropouts lasting around maybe half of one second every 20 seconds or so.
I have found that some of the files I play are not individual audio files (tracks) but single large files indexed with cue files. I think this is normal.
The audio dropouts seemed to be coming from larger files that use a cue file for track listing.
In the .cue file there has to be a reference to the actual audio file:
PERFORMER "Philip Glass"
TITLE "1000 Airplanes on the Roof"
FILE "Philip Glass - 1000 Airplanes on the Roof.wav" WAVE
Becomes:
PERFORMER "Philip Glass"
TITLE "1000 Airplanes on the Roof"
FILE "Philip Glass - 1000 Airplanes on the Roof.ape" WAVE
On the PC using foobar both versions play okay, the version with the .wav ref dropsout in libreelec/kodi.
Does anybody know what is going on?
