RPi 3 B+ build for live TV / PVR

I’m interested in building a libreELEC box with a raspberry pi 3 b+. My intention is to use this as a front end (kodi) and backend (hdhomerun / PVR). Does this computer have enough power to run such a configuration and play 1080 live TV and recorded content?

I've been running a RPi3B with a RPi DVB hat with the boot and storage on an external SSD for over a month now, without any issues.

I use TVHeadend as a backend and have tested it with 3 simultaneous HD recordings (All on the same MUX) with only a few transmission errors. A USB DVB stick may not be as good.
