Does anyone have this board and can you tell me if it works with tvheadend? I want to buy one but I'm not sure I can make it work. Thank you!

Likely not. Afaik there are no drivers yet.

The manufacturer informed me that it supports Linux and that it works with tvheadend.
They sent me the drivers link.

Linux works a bit different to windows. It is not easy to install any driver on top of your normal installation.
Basically as long Geniatech won't send their driver "to" the linux maintainers and they arrive the linux kernel they are not properly supported.
In general Geniatech devices have zero vendor support at linux. Its always just those crappy drivers that break in a year and you could throw away your card.

Thank you for the explanation. Would you recommend TBS boards? -

Similar problem but not that bad. If you search for 4+ tuners there are not too much options either. Just Digital devices that are pretty expensive.

Got it! I have an android box with 2 tuners (about $ 100) and with free cccam provided by the vendor. It has a tvheadend server, but with some limitations. Maybe I'll invest in one more instead of buying one of these PCI cards.

Btw you can also look into buying an satip server, that is driver indipendend and rather cheap. An digibit R1 is around 120€
That is another pretty well spread setup.

Good alternative. But since I am from Brazil, it is difficult to get this product. This android box that I have, works like Wetek Play 2, but another brand. The tuners Geniatech and TBS can buy through Aliexpress. I thought of the Pci tuners to reduce the amount of equipment. And run everything on my HTPC. I'm at a crossroads.

yea brazil is not really the target location

I got a salesman here with two TBS6522. What do you think? Can I get both of them to work at the same time?

Should work, you can also look for dvbsky s950 v3, cheap and support at the kernel
-
S952 v3 too?

ah sorry, DVBSky S952 V3 was what I tried to write ;D
they works perfectly even in dualsetup (2x S952) and they are cheap (at least here in germany)

I see that the Geniatech website now shows that both Linux and Windows drivers (version unspecified) can be downloaded for the x9320-quad-dvb-s2s-tv-tuner card.
I bought the card through AliExpress and intend to use it in my pc to enable me to replace my existing satellite TV recorder with a Kodi-based system.
However, my attempts have been frustrated so far as the card came without documentation or software. After downloading the windows driver from the Geniatech web-site, the install process terminates with an "process interrupted - please try again later" error. Checking the inf file reveals that the driver is intended for use with a number of USB tuners which suggests that it may not work with the PCIe card.
-
this card contain USB 2.0 host controller Ic + 4x USB DVB tuners
-
So, finally got the card installed. The PCIe card needs an extra power supply connection and I had to get a 6in SATA to LP4 Power Cable adapter - F/M.
Device Manager shows that I now have four USB Sticks under "Other Devices" but says that the driver is not installed. Trying to install the Windows driver that I downloaded from the GeniaTech website still fails with an "interrupted process" error. This error looks like it may be something simple - e.g. an incorrect statement in the inf file.
I'm lost now - should I try downloading USB DVB-S Stick drivers from elsewhere in the GeniaTech site?

maybe windows driver not support this device, check usb ids in inf
