Crash (freeze) while watching stream from local NAS (maybe caused by UPnP)

  • Hi everyone!

I use LibreElec since a long time. I switched from a Rapberry (running Kodi 17.3) to a Zotac Mini PC and the trouble started. During the hardware change, I also updated LibreElec. I use now Kodi 17.6 (LibreElec 8.2.5). After 10-40 Minutes of playback the picture freezes and a power-cycle is needed.

It seems the problem is the upnp client. I see several fatal log-entries of the "platinum.core.ctrlpoint".

I have disabled "UPnP/DLNA", "AirPlay", "Avahi" ... but the "upnp client" is still running.

The movie is located on the Synology (DS416play) Diskstation (accessed through SMB) - the database is also on the Diskstation.

Any Ideas what to do or how to disable the "upnp client"? Or is it a different problem?

If more information needed, please ask. I could also create a wireshark trace, if needed.

    Thanks!

  • The UPnP client is embedded and cannot be disabled, but it's probably not the problem unless you're trying to use UPnP sources?

I'd also remove the cache tweaking from your advancedsettings.xml file.
