actually i don't think my dongle is even doing anything lol do i need to have drivers for the usb bluetooth dongle?
What is the make and model of your usb bluetooth dongle ?
CSR8510 chipset should be supported with Linux
Read the section titled "Bluetooth Boot Mode" on this page:
If it were me, I would just get another bluetooth USB adapter. One that works out of the box with Linux.
