Backup LibreELEC with docker

Hi,

I have installed Docker with MariaDB and Portainer (excellent!). When I use the LibreElec built in backup feature and then unpack the tar-file on my desktop to use single files for experiments, strange things happen.

I am aware that the ../.userdata/docker tree includes overlays of the containers, which are in my understanding links. When I unpack the archive does the unpacker try to restore data to the links and "damage" the root file system on my Mac ????

Does anybody know what means restoring the overlays on an other computer ??

Contents of the backup are relative to /storage so should not interfere with macOS.

ok, I see...

(but looks very surprising if you go deeper in the restored path and end up at / with /boot /etc /lib........ I hope my MacOS has stoped me from polluting my root file system
