Sharing the same kernel as Android

This is my first post in this forum. If I am posting to the wrong section, please point me to the right place.

I am dual booting libreElec and Android on my x92 ( amlogic S912) box. I would like to compile my own kernel so that the same kernel can be used in both LibreElec and Android 7.

I tried to take the kernel and the modules from the LibreElec onto Android OS, it did not seem to boot. I could not see anything on the TV screen. Is it because the LibreElec uses a different display mode than the Android ?

If yes, can I choose some superset graphic configs so that I could share the same kernel and modules ?

Linux (LE) and Android require different options in their kernels. You will not be able to make one kernel and share it between both OS.
