HDMI1 DISCONNECTED - not signal

Hi

I am noob

I have an Acer notebook aspire E11

2 GB RAM

500 HDD

Intel CeleronN2840

Intel HD Graphics

I can see the system from the notebook screen, but when I connect the HDMI, the TV says there is no signal.

I already test the HDMI cable with other equipment and it works.

The HDMI worked with windows.

The version of libreelec that I have is 8.2.3

Isn't there a a hardware key combination on your laptop to activate/switch to a 2nd monitor?

Is it possible the Fn (laptop function keys) aren't active under Libreelec ? (no drivers)

But F5 does not work, apparently this is the two screens.

If Fn + F5 works under Windows but not Libreelec, then you have your answer.

There is another recent thread about this subject. I'll find it and link it here. Libreelec does not contain Fn Key drivers as far as I know.

The Raspberry Pi boxes are the devices with probably the longest support.

LibreELEC runs just fine on the RPi.

It depends how you use it. The Raspberry Pi's have their limitations. You should do some research before deciding. I chose to use Intel NUC's for my TV Room and Man Cave. It helps to use a wired gigabit network if you're into large local HD files.

You'll also want to consider using a remote control. I use the Logitech Harmony 650 for each of my Intel NUC's.

It depends on your "use case" aka wishes. If you plan to continue viewing the same video collection, then a RPi3 will be a sufficient solution for h.264 videos upto 1080p resolution.

If you are planning to watch 4K or 1080p HEVC/h.265 videos anytime soon, then a RPi3 will not be enough. Devices like the Wetek Hub and Odroid C2 are LibreELEC supported devices.
