Random playback from button press

hi all..

Just after some direction from you gods of kodi

Im going setup a tv/pi in my childrens playroom. Im trying to have it so that when they press a big physical button on the wall. Kodo plays a random movie from their collection. Is this possible in libreelece?

sorry should have said i can do the software install and the hardware and the gpio hardware.. its just the gpio scripting and how to control the random playback of a button press im having an issue with

If not random maybe round robin playlist style

Ok i could uae this

xbmc.executebuiltin('RunPlugin("plugin.video.something")')

And install random movie plugin.

However how do i call the above script from a gpio /dev/gpio?
