Trouble installing LibreELEC on EgoIggo S95x (s905x)

1. You need a working device tree depending to the box

2. You have to try all USB ports

3. Start Android, install the App "Reboot to Libreelec" from Google, connect the prepared USB stick, execute the App "Reboot to Libreelec"

You hav to use the device tree which depends to th box - 1GB, 2Gb or 3Gb - Find out the ram size.

Maybe the box is using fake ram

You dont need the device tree for this box and forget the remote method to restart. I have the same box (with 1gb ram) and i have now libreelec installed. I have used a micro-sd card, no usb.

1. Write this image to sd card: LibreELEC-S905.arm-8.2-8.2.0.1.img.gz

2. Start the box and then insert the card.

3. Take a toothpick and stick it at the bottom side of the box (there is a very little hole)

4. Unplug the power plug and back, now start the box with libreelec boot screen. (when you see the libreelec picture, you can release the toothpick and the box started again with libreelec)

This worked 100% !!!

p.s. I have do the same problem, many hours for nothing, the remote method doesn't work.

I have the same box, you can see i have buy it.

I have do all to root this box, from saturday away. Very hard but now its worked.

I cant stream, i have oldschool internet with +/- 1mb download

i also bought this box but with 2gb ram.

remote runs out of the box with kasqz build.

only problem is that wlan isn't working. Any suggestions?

Hint to Threadopener: The Resetswitch is inside - just open the 4 screws under the rubber feet.

the reset switch is behind the panel, so you can't activate it inside the headphone or ethernet.

Some cheap wlan chips are not supported.

SSH to box and type:

I'm sorry, we have tried every possible way to get the driver.

I have connect a wlan usb adapter, cost +/- 5 Euro.
