journalctl -u service.transmission is working but not easy to read ...

If your remote can send ssh commands, that would be one way
I'm sure there's other ways like flirc or something, I haven't really looked into that.My intel NUC 2820 have build in IR , don't want to buy new stuff like flirc usb key ...

You can kill the process through SSH.
Ok if i made "pkill spotify" in ssh it quit spotify . good start .there is a way to automate this ?
