*.tar files never had to be extracted. You have to extract the img.gz file for the openelec installation. But with the correct writing software, you even dont have to do that.

'Newest' is not a version number
Which version and which hardware are you using and which skin did you install?
-
It is/was the same for openelec as well. The only difference between LE and OE is, that OE is only able to handle the *.tar file while LE is able to handle both (*.tar and *.img.gz) for the update process.

Yes, logfile is needed

probably if you use an older build from here, you don´t need to build one yourself: Index of /

moved to Amlogic
Probably edit your first post and let the title say something more usefull

could you please enable debug logging in your system settings, then reboot the machine and after that trying to play a flac which stutters and one which doesn´t. After the playback of both files please provide a debuglog:
-
you should probably mention which hardware you are using.
-
I don´t know where you are from. But here is one that should fit:
Rydges SpeedPower High-Quality PC Netzteil 5V 2,5A: Amazon.de: Elektronik

Logfile please. I´m very interested in the GPU you are using.

Best would be to provide a logfile, I would say. This might tell most and if you already looked into it, you might not noticed the important part. Not I would notice it, but probably a dev might be able to. So sharing those logs might be necessary.

Welcome to forums.
If you have issues, it´s always the best if you provide a full debug log with debug logging enabled. So please take a look here for a How-To
HOW TO:Provide Logfile - LibreELEC
To provide the log...
- enable debug logging in system settings (system settings -> system -> logging -> enable debug logging)
- reboot LibreELEC
- reproduce your issue as fast as you can (don´t do anything else)
- provide the log like explained in the wiki in the way which is easiest for youGreetings
-
If you take a look at the script: LibreELEC.tv/fs-resize at master · LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv · GitHub
and look at line 27 - 33.....that means, if the .kodi or the .config or the .cache folder exists, then "Resizing is not permitted".
So you should backup those folders first. Or do it the way Grimson told you.
-
Is it an original DVD or did you burn it yourself?
Please provide a full kodi debuglog with debugging enabled at system settings. Enable debug logging and reboot the machine with a disk already inserted in that drive. Then provide:
Greetings
-
could you please show us the exports file on your nas under /etc via: cat /etc/exports (if it's located there...on most NASs I know of, it's there).
-
Could you please try to connect the NUC directly to the TV...so bypass the AVR. I know that Intel always had problems with Pioneer. Would be interesting if the same problem comes up by not using the AVR.
-
Normally it should only update the sysstem. But if you are afraid (and for the reason, that anything might happen
), just make a backup of your relevant data before.
-
Then use USB 2.0 for that drive...problem solved.
