The Chromebox is standard intel hardware. So 'Generic' will work fine. What other image did you use to install LE on the new Chromebox and in which way do they differ?

There MUST be an 'update' folder. Connect to it like shown in the video above and use the generic build.
are you sure you use the correct keyboard layout? Well...I don´t know any layout where the 1 is on an "a"..but I would check that

Which LE version are you using?
I would check if "Wake on USB" is enabled at BIOS. Probably you have to change the suspend state to something else.
Are you sure that all Kodi versions are the same on all clients? Otherwise it won't work:

If I'm correct, thats the source and you installed via zip. So we cant do anything for you. Report at github if something doesnt work. Even the openelec thread about this addon is without responses for about 2 month now.
I'm not sure if we support that at all

Depending on where you get this addon from (as it's not in the official repositories...neiter at kodi repos nor at LE), you have to contact either them or the maintainer for support.
The kodi logfile will help most, I would say.
And as I'm a bit confused...
What do you mean with 'does not work'? Do you have the option to en- or disale passthrough? If it's enabled, what is the issue? Is there simply no sound or do you have sound, but it's not DD or DTS? Or are we talking about HD sound formats? A bit more info would be nice.
Trying one of our alpha builds might be worth a shot.
It starts fine for me, but it doesn't load anything. But, tbh, I never used it before. Not sure, if that is a LE problem as it doesn't load anything on my LE installation as well as on my Ubuntu installation. The addon doesn't show any content on each installation
I guess this is a migration and not a fresh install, isn't it?
Could you try to do a factory reset while at LibreELEC? SSH in and do
mv /storage/.kodi /storage/kodi-bakAnd reboot after that.
All your settings and addons will be gone and everything is like after a fresh install. But no worries...everything is copied to the "kodi-bak" folder and restoring it is easy.
could you please try again and probably provide a debuglog?
As LibreELEC has it's own add-on repository which is available on all of the LibreELEC versions we provide, the add-ons should be the same on any platform.
