There is no such option (anymore) in current Kodi builds AFAIK?

Yeah, indeed...better start with a factory reset by renaming the .kodi folder to something else and reboot. With all this superrepo crap it's impossible to give support.
Might it be possible you have 'Sync playback to display' enabled? That would disable passthrough even it's enabled in the settings

LibreELEC is a Linux distro which ships Kodi in different versions. LibreELEC itself is on an alpha-state, but the Kodi version it ships is on the Beta. that means LibreELEC 7.90.008 ships Kodi 17 Beta 5.
There is no LibreELEC beta (yet)...but the available LibreELEC alpha version already ship the Kodi beta versions.

Please tell us how you have written the command to start the tool.
Beside the tool you are also able to download the file manually, unpack itand then use 'dd' to write the file to the stick.
for example:
sudo dd if=</path/to/file.img> of=</path/to/device> bs=4M/path/to/device should be changed to something like: /dev/sdb
depends on how the device is mounted. check 'dmesg' for the correct path to the device. be carefull to select the correct one. the drive will be wiped completely.
but normally the tool should work. so please try using that again.
You probably didn't enable SSH during the configuration wizard. Try enabling it via the LibreELEC settings addon.
And don't forget that the password is: libreelec

The "openelec unofficial repo" you mentioned has nothing to do with LibreELEC. It doesn't exist. So I would recommend not to do anything with it.

Those are always available and there is an update-folder, too. Put the tar file to that folder and reboot. Done

Would be interesting what kind of warnings and errors one should ignore . At least there is a Ubuntu screen.
You should probably remove all of those banned repos which are in your log. We don't give support while those are installed.
So please start with a clean LibreELEC and then try to reproduce your issue. Those repos are able to cause some weird issues and we don't hunt for ghosts, tbh

which version are you using?
Did you update from a OpenELEC version probably?
Probably you might get it wrong. There are a few TVs which have Android as their OS. It´s possible to install Kodi for Android on them (either via the apk file or directly from the google play store). At the moment, IIRC, Sony and Philips are the only ones who ship TVs with Android.
Could you please provide a sample (snippet) from that file. So we are able to reproduce.
