navigate to movies in your library (not the file view....the library view), bring up the context menu. Either it's directly in the context menu or you have to select "manage" from that menu and then the option to set this movie as a favourite should appear.

If you reboot after the problem comes up, the log, which should contain the error, is overwritten. So we need the kodi.old.log stored at /storage/.kodi/temp/
so please always get us both. Just to be sure:
pastebinit /storage/.kodi/temp/kodi.log
and
pastebinit /storage/.kodi/temp/kodi.old.log

Anyone have a clue? I can attach a logfile later on when I am back home.Yes...we'll need the logfile

Please check if you have "sync playback to display" enabled. If that's enabled it will automatically disable passthough and you won't get DTS or DolbyDigital.
-
might depend on the version you are using. Get us a logfile please.

No need to bump your thread within some hours. This is not a hotline and getting help sometimes might last some time (probably days). We are all volunteers who support in our free time. So be a bit more patient before bumping your thread.
We also might need the exact informations about the hardware you are using. Otherwise helping might be hard.

Sure
addons->my addons->install from repository->LibreELEC Add-ons->PVR clients->PVR IPTV Simple Client
That's it

if it stalls at the splash screen, please try to login via SSH (network should be avaiable already) and try to get the kodi log.
I guess, it might be some database migration problem. But the log will tell most.

The above means, that we have the system-tools addon, which includes hd-idle.

If I plug HDMI or DVI->HDMI output on the board directly into the TV, the RGB range is set correctly.
However, if I use the soundbar (I plug PC output into the Soundbar HDMI input and then Soundbar HDMI out into TV) the RGB range is messedFrom what I read, it's the soundbar which is causing the issue if the connection: HTPC->TV is fine.
So, tbh, if a device messes something up, then I would blame the device and probably contact the manufactor of that device as I would guess that's not LibreELECs problem.
Normally the soundbar shouldn't touch the video signal in general. If it does, then the soundbar does something wrong and I would drop that thing. If my AVR would touch the video signal in that way, I would call the vendor ASAP.

Then your best bet might be reporting at this thread.

From whom did you get that build or did you compile yourself?
-
Let's only talk about the Kodi 17 machine. Is that a fresh install or did you upgrade from an older LibreELEC or OpenELEC version?
If that's an upgrade, I highly guess you have a problem with the addon migration. So if you are able to ssh into the box please do the following to confirm it's a addon migration problem:
If we have that, then we will see what's goind on.

alright so its my understanding now that I can download Putty on Mac (my OS) and through there I can access the SSHadditionally what lrusak says....just open a terminal (console) on the mac and enter the following:
you will be asked for a password after which is: libreelec
If you will get something like "connection refused", you have to enable SSH in the LibreELEC service settings:
LibreELEC Settings - LibreELECand then try again. If you have got it managed to log in, then do the command lrusak told you in posting #2
-
Probably I get you wrong. But the backup/restore route assumes you have LibreELEC already installed on both devices. Then backup from the first, and restore on the other. That shouldn´t affect anything and should "just work"
-
For the mirroring the setup:
- backup the .kodi folder from device "a"
- replace the .kodi folder from device "b" with the one from device "a"there is also a "backup and restore" option at the libreelec settings .
