It's a last resort because you will loose native resolution. Any newer TV is able to display 1920*1080 natively even if the source is a PC. If you use Kodis screen calibration or something like that, it's nit the native resolution anymore which sould be avoided generally.

Well...did you check the most obvious things?
Are you using VLAN at home? Is it possibly the firewall at you router which is blocking something - have you tried to disable it? Have you tried to set a static IP for the device instead of reserving a dhcp given one by mac adress? Which router is it and is the machine, you try to connect from, directly connected to the router or is a switch in between?
If even the pings dont work, are you 100% sure that the device is on the same network?
Have you tried to restart the router?

IIRC button presses are logged if you enable debug logging in Kodi. To have debug logging enabled without the overlay on the screen, just set it up in that way:

Are you able to test that device: Availink AVL6211
on another machine to rule out a hardware failure
Your logs look pretty bad

You where right, the region-code was not set, the DVD is now working! I will test more DVDs in the coming weeks, but so far, thank you very much for your help!

Yes, please report and probably ping with @<username> so I´m able to keep track of this thread

Which TVHeadend version are you using?

Unfortunately the logs you provided aren´t debug logs and therefore mostly useless.
Please enable debug logging and reboot LibreELEC or restart Kodi. Then, after the boot/restart, reproduce your issue as fast as you can and get us a new log.
The only error I see is:
Quote18:46:51.747 T:1506153376 ERROR: Error on dvdnav_open
so I guess, if debugging is enabled, we might be able to tell more.
As a first guess....have you checked if the region of your DVD drive is set correctly? If you are not sure, please connect it to some desktop PC and try to set the region for it properly.

ChuckVader and you can confirm that it works better with an older LE version? So if you switch the sources on your AVR and then switch back to the Kodi input you will still have 1080/60 and the switch to 1080/24 will still work?
If so, then please provide both logfiles to compare. The working logfile with Kodi 16 and the non working with Kodi 17.

kszaq pointed to that: (SOLVED)DVD want play, WHY! - Help and Support - OSMC Forums
Could you please try to connect the external drive to another pc and check if the region is set correctly?

moved to AMLogic support

Which TVHeadend client version are you using?

What are those music videos? Are those single official videos of a single song or are those concert DVDs?
Both are handled different in Kodi, as far as I have understood.
Music videos are single videos from a specific song. Like this for exmple:
External Content www.youtube.comContent embedded from external sources will not be displayed without your consent.Through the activation of external content, you agree that personal data may be transferred to third party platforms. We have provided more information on this in our privacy policy.Complete concert DVDs like for example: U2 - Go Home ... see: U2: Go Home - Live From Slane Castle (2001) — The Movie Database (TMDb)
are handled as movies and not as music videos.
So, what to do now...
I would create a movie set and name that "Concerts" and probably add all DVD concerts you have to that set.

Looking at the log:

It seems the disc can´t be read by libdvdcss or can´t be decrypted and kodi crashes on it. I´ll report that to the team

I also answered in the kodi forums. Just deleting the guisettings.xml should solve that problem after a reboot, too.
Had that several times while testing Kodi Krypton and reverting back to jarvis.
I'm using libreelec and upgraded to krypton decided I didn't like then downgraded
Would be interesting which part you don't like. If it's the standard skin Estuary and you liked Confluence more, that's easy to solve as Confluence still can be installed from the Kodi repositories. Be aware that Jarvis will get no love anymore. So if you are facing issues with it, they won't be fixed anymore.
