    architecture s905x
    device MXQ Pro 4K,
build LibreELEC (community) - Version: 8.0.0d by kszaq

I am getting random mac address on my MXQ Pro 4K
Googled and found UDEV script configuration thread-200-post-3888.html#pid3888

    but it dont work,
journalctl shows the mac address gets set twice, initially using the value in my udev script, then to random address.
the 5A:01:1C:31:4D:01 is the mac I set in udev 99 script
the C6:0B:C6:12:18:16 is the random mac assigned

    I am attaching the logs

here is short grep for eth0 from journal log

    Code

I did google for that for couple of hours, tried root-ing device to no avail, Ended up using adb over network

in settings/about media box click 5-7 on build number till we got message about "developer...", there should be "developer options" extra menu item in settings/, in there we turn on adb/usb debugging

    from my computer
    > adb connect mxq-ip-address
confirm adb auth popup on android box
    > adb pull /system/etc/remote.conf remote.conf

I installed LE 8.0 by kszaq MXQ Pro 4k box, but remote is not working,

    the faq says
Q: My remote control does not work, what can I do?
A: Grab remote.conf file from Android firmware (it's available in /system/etc)

I booted into original firmware, in Apps there is a file browser, I searched everywhere but I found no remote.conf file, I found a "system/" subdir under android tree, but there was no "etc" subdir nor remote.conf.

    Where and how I get remote.conf f?

    I bought a MXQ Pro 4K 1Gb 8GB box.
Seller advertises this box as s905x.
When the box boots into original android 6.0.1 the logo displays "s905"
    The adroid build info p212-userdebug 6.0.1 HMC19J 20161212-test-keys kernel 3.14.29

    I installed libreELEC from 8.0.0c
    - tree gxl_p212_1g.dtb
    - imag LibreELEC-S905.arm-8.0-8.0.0c.img.gz

How can I verify the whether I have s905x or s905 CPU on the main board ?

I would like to assemble DVB-T PVR.

I am not sure if I got it right as far as available functionality of kodi+pvr backend.
I would like to be able to playback and record _simultenously_. Is such functionality supported by kodi+pvr backend ? or have I misread the functionality of kodi.

After searching the net I arrived at libreELEC/kodi project.
I see it supports amlogic S8* devices. THere is lots of tv boxes with this SOC to buy.
However I am unable to figure out which DVB-T USB tuner should I get.
Is there any list of supported DVB-T tuners (or chipsets) that libreELEC supports ?

any helpful soul please advise me or give me a gentle nudge in the right direction

    cheers
