Sorry if I didn't explain it very well. Somehow I pressed a button on my Verizon FIOS remote that enabled the Kodi mute function. I had not mapped any keys on the remote to be a mute button. I tried several buttons, but it didn't un-mute. Had to attach a keyboard to get it to un-mute.

Late to the party, but just had the same issue.....kinda. Somehow I enabled mute from my remote and could not un-mute it. Found this thread, and connected a keyboard to the NUC and hit F8, and nothing. Seeing that it was an Apple keyboard, I hit the volume increase butting and vola! Pass-thru audio was fine, but no sound effects, and that mute label in the corner.

I am a mac user and had the same experience copying files to or from my nuc via the Finder. It is pretty glacial. Mac OS dosen't seem to like SAMBA very much. I use sftp via Transmit instead; and before that I used Cyberduck. File transfers are pretty fast. Cyberduck is open source so it wold be the perfect marriage.

Not to hijack the thread.... Is there a way to change the RSS ticker to point to LibreELEC? Mine still points to the OpenELEC feed.
Thanks

Thanks for the assistance. I inadvertently did a 'spring clean' install after updating the bios on my NUC. Took a bit longer than I had planned, but everything is fresh and pretty snappy, even with the skin. Great work guys!

Thanks for the comments. If doing a 'Spring Clean" should I also do a Hard Reset?

Long time lurker....first time poster.
Backstory. So my first iteration was a NUC with OE. I then moved over to LE. I am using the Aeon MadNox skin which is pretty resource intensive. Since moving over the LE, I have had some issues with the skin. Not pointing a finger, as the skin is a WIP, and currently they are only developing for Krypton. So, since this is a major version upgrade, I was wondering if it may be worthwhile to just start fresh. I have a backup, so I can "upgrade" back if need be. What say ye? Tis a far far better thing.....
