Yes, Autoupdater updates my library every day. Even if I trigger it manually, movies are not added. Folders are browseable through Videos file explorer without issues, so NAS is responding properly.

I have a strange issue with movies disappearing from library on my RPi 3 running LE.
I've got two RPis at home: RPi B and RPi 3. Same setup for both, same video sources are used. On RPi 3 movies keep disappearing frm library. Refreshing library does not help. What I need to d every time is:
1. Remove the content type and set it to none
2. Library is cleaned
3. Set the content type for a folder again, I use local data only as I scrap everything using my PC
4. Refresh the library
Movies are back again, however, some of them are sometimes missing.
Do you know what might be the issue?

Thanks mate!

This is different from the rainbow square which always appears in the center of the screen when (cold?) booting, correct?
I run my Pi 3 in a Flirc case - the entire case is basically the heatsink as there is a finger molded into the case which thermally couples the FPGA/CPU with the case. Mine typically runs around 40-41 C when idle.

Could you share the link showing this case?

These are values similar to mine, and mine never overheats. What was Pi doing when it overheated?Nothing, just running Kodi. No movie was beeing watched.
-
Did you get an icon in the top right corner of the screen?
If not, it's not overheating.Ventilation holes and heatsinks does not equal to ventilation. You will need some form of active airflow via a (small) fan.
Same as with external HDDs overheating in their cases.Yes, the icon is there.

No.
What is your processor temperature when Pi is idle?
At what percentage run your processor cores when Pi is idle?
What are your overclock settings, if any? When it's idle it's 45-47C.
Cpu utilization is about 12-14%.
It's not overclocked. -
My Pi 3 hanged because of overheating. It happened for the first time. I am on LibreElec 8.0.1. The Pi is located in a case with heatsinks as well as ventilation holes. The temperature around Pi 3 is about 21C.
As it happened for the first time I don't know how much it is connected to LE.
Did you experience this?

As far as private data goes... Giving your NAS a personal name is perhaps not the brightest idea. Why?
And yes, viewing a 4K HEVC video on a Raspberry Pi will sadly be a too big a task for a 35 euro kid's toy.
A Rpi can do upto 1080p pretty well, 4K is beyond its capabilities.OK, thanks. Sad but true...
-
You would be surprised how and when private data can be used...
But I get the point. Let me paste the log without my libraries. Should it do the trick?

Hahahahaha...Okay, then the thread stops here.
Enjoy your sensitive 4K movies.Well... I don't know what you're thinking about, but I do believe that there is no valid reason to share all my private data publicly.
-
Wozik: Don't just post the log parts that YOU think are interesting. Always post the FULL kodi.log, via pastebinit preferably.Well... there is too much sensitive information in the logs that I don't want to share.

I get this messages while trying to play 4K movie on Pi 3. It's encoded with x265.

Any comments? -
I reinstalled it from the scratch. So far, so good.

Thanks for the hint. Which addons shall I ininstall? Where do they appear?

Every once and then LE tries to connect to 192.168.0.5 host in my network. I do not recognize such device in my LAN, what it could be?
See details: KPJE
I have tried to open LE settings and it crashed with this error.
-
DaVu: more input.
I had no problems at all while using Pi B running OpenElec.
Movies are located on NAS, Samba share.
I don't know the codecs nor containers, here's the log file:20:37:39.487 T:1796207520 ERROR: Skin Helper Service --> Exception in resource - Pastebin.com
And yes, I meant that Kodi exits to home screen, kodi remote (I'm using Yatse) sees it unavailable while this happening, yet controls are working.

There is a strange behavior of Kodi on LE 8.0 on Pi 3 while changing videos. For example, one is playing, where I'd like to start another one. Then the one being played is hanged and after a dozen of seconds Kodi exits to desktop and nothing is played.
Another thing: sometimes when I try to play something, the only thing I see is the moving circle and nothing happens until I reboot Pi 3.
Does anyone experience similiar issues?
